The Division 1 Court of Appeals convenes for the following cases:

State v. Dominguez

Jason Dominguez appeals his convictions for rape of a child in the second degree, rape of a child in the third degree, and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes. He challenges the absence of juror questionnaires from the record, the admission of evidence to show his “lustful disposition,” and amendments to the information after the State functionally rested. He also challenges the use of the victim’s initials on the jury instructions, the prosecutor’s argument based on Dominguez’s admission of guilt on a different charge, and various community custody conditions. COA # 835165. Snohomish County Superior Court # 19-1-02191-31.

In re Matter of Parental Rights to H.S.W.

H.W. was removed from her biological parents at the time of her birth and was in dependency and out-of-home care for approximately three years. The trial court terminated the parental rights of both parents. K.W., the father, appeals. COA # 856251. King County Superior Court # 22-7-00977-1.

Valderrama v. City of Sammamish

King County Superior Court # 23-2-04283-2.

In re the Marriage of: Jennifer Hillegas v. David Hillegas

In this marriage dissolution action, Jenifer Hillegas challenges the trial court’s orders regarding residential time and relocation with children and she asserts that the court denied her a fair trial. COA # 844491. King County Superior Court # 20-3-01594-0.

Prekeges v. Willis and Takeuchi
