Current and former journalists discuss the fascinating history of the Capitol Press Houses, which for decades housed the media organizations covering the seat of state government.
Former NPR Olympia Correspondent Austin Jenkins leads the discussion featuring Associated Press (AP) Correspondent Rachel La Corte, former AP reporter David Ammons, former The News Tribune and Crosscut reporter Melissa Santos, and former The Seattle TImes reporter David Postman.
This interview was conducted as historic preservation mitigation, to compensate for the loss of historic property. Historic preservation mitigation is required for state agencies under Governor Inslee’s Executive Order 21-02, and is overseen by the Washington Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP).
