State of Washington v. Scott Gregory Davis – 849964
In 2022, Scott Davis was evicted after failing to pay rent on his garage storage unit. During the eviction, Davis, who was living in the garage at the time, pointed a gun at the officers and refused to comply with their orders. Davis was eventually arrested and charged with three counts of assault in the second degree and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree. A jury convicted Davis as charged and the trial court sentenced Davis to 144 months of confinement. Davis appeals asserting that his right to self-representation was violated, there was insufficient evidence for the conviction and the court excluded evidence in error among other things. COA # 849964, Snohomish County Superior Court # 22-1-00986-31.
