M.G., et al. v. Bainbridge Island School District, et al.
Plaintiffs (M. G., a former Bainbridge High School student, his sister and his mother) appeal, among other rulings, the (1) dismissal of claims against two former Bainbridge Island School District students under the Uniform Public Expression Protection Act,;(2) dismissal of claims against the high school’s after-school club Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) under CR 12(b)(6); and (3) the court’s award of CR 11 sanctions against the plaintiffs’ attorney. The G.’s sued the former students, the district and HOSA alleging defamation, conspiracy to commit defamation, fraud, cyberstalking, violations of the Washington Law Against Discrimination, and loss of consortium.
